In May 2008, the BNMC organized a workshop on Computational Morphodynamics. The goals were to provide a forum for sharing ideas across campus and for different groups to discuss common problems, directions, goals and needs.

In March 2006, the BNMC organized another workshop, this time on stochastic simulation in biology. The objective was to have participants meet and discuss what they are doing, learn from others who may be working on similar problems, possibly start new projects and collaborations, and generally help the BNMC shape its goals.

In  February 2006, the BNMC organized a meeting of Caltech people involved in image processing in biology. The objective was to let participants meet and learn from other Caltech researchers who may be working on similar problems, and to help the BNMC shape its goals with respect to image processing in biology.
